TiE was founded in 1992 in Silicon Valley by a group of successful entrepreneurs, corporate executives, and senior professionals with roots in the Indus region. There are currently 11,000 members, including over 2,500 charter members in 56 chapters across 13 countries. TiE’s mission is to foster entrepreneurship globally through mentoring, networking, and education. Dedicated to the virtuous cycle of wealth creation and giving back to the community, TiE’s focus is on generating and nurturing our next generation of entrepreneurs.
Entrepreneurs are the engine of economic growth and prosperity. TiE is committed to fueling this engine by participating in creation of an eco-system that supports the entrepreneurs through their various stages of growth. The center piece of TiE’s charter is to “give back” through mentorship and intellectual support. South Coast TiE is particularly keen on inclusiveness and is focused on building a partnership with local universities and entrepreneurship centric organizations.”
